This is a seasonal six-month position with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on business needs and performance.
As our Manager, Social Media, you’ll own the strategy, execution, and performance of KCL’s social presence across key platforms, with a primary focus on YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok. You will lead a team of producers who are also on-camera talent, ensuring content is not only engaging and platform-native, but also consistent, story-forward, and performance-driven.
This role is equal parts creative, analytical, and operational: you’ll build and maintain a high-velocity content calendar, constantly iterate based on performance data, and stay ahead of platform trends, features, and algorithm shifts. You will play a critical role in shaping KCL’s brand voice and visibility in-feed—translating shopper insights into scroll-stopping content through the lens of shopping-intelligence at its core, driving engagement, growth, and revenue opportunities.
In a fast-paced environment, you’ll balance real-time trend participation with long-term content strategy—ensuring KCL shows up daily in a way that is relevant, timely, useful, and unmistakably on brand.
Own and maintain a dynamic, data-informed content calendar across Instagram and TikTok, ensuring consistent, high-quality output aligned with business goals.
Manage and develop a team of social producers/on-camera talent, providing clear direction, feedback, and coaching to elevate both performance and presence.
Drive a culture of experimentation—continuously testing formats, hooks, storytelling styles, and platform features to optimize for reach, engagement, and conversion.
Analyze performance data daily and translate insights into actionable changes, improving content effectiveness and repeatability.
Stay ahead of platform updates, emerging trends, and algorithm changes, proactively adapting KCL’s strategy to maintain competitive advantage.
Collaborate closely with sales teams to integrate sponsored content seamlessly into the social calendar while maintaining audience trust.
Oversee the development of scripts, concepts, and creative direction that align with KCL’s voice and resonate with our audience.
Ensure all content is platform-native and optimized for how users consume content on YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok, including format, pacing, and storytelling style.
Identify and scale repeatable content formats and franchises that drive consistent growth and engagement.
Step in as on-camera talent when needed, modeling best practices and elevating the overall quality of on-screen presence across the team.
Manage publishing workflows and ensure timely, accurate, and strategic posting across platforms.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align on key business priorities, campaigns, and seasonal moments.
Track and report on key performance metrics, building playbooks that drive continuous improvement and scalability.
Pilot and scale KCL’s Creator Lab by sourcing, vetting, negotiating, and directing influencer partnerships that expand reach, drive engagement, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
Develop repeatable influencer playbooks, including briefing, creative direction, performance tracking, and relationship management to ensure consistent, high-quality output from creator partners.

Consistent follower and engagement growth across Instagram and TikTok driven by high-performing, platform-native content.

6–8+ years of experience managing social media for a digital publisher, brand, or social-first company with a strong focus on Instagram and TikTok.
Proven track record of growing and managing high-performing social accounts through data-driven strategies and experimentation.
Experience managing and developing creative talent, particularly on-camera personalities or content creators.
Knowledge of and experience in the couponing, savings, or E-commerce space.
Deep understanding of platform mechanics, trends, and algorithmic behavior across TikTok and Instagram.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and turn insights into actionable strategies.
Experience building and maintaining content calendars in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
Comfortable both behind the scenes and on camera, with a strong understanding of what makes content engaging and authentic.
Strong collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally with editorial, sales, and marketing teams.
Ability to balance creative instincts with performance goals, ensuring content delivers on both engagement and business impact.

Base Salary: $95,000-$105,000 depending on experience and location.
