What you’ll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):
We are looking for an RF Engineering Technical Project Manager to join us in San Jose, CA, to support new and existing RF Subsystems projects. This role may be performed remotely within the U.S. It is critical in the development of new satellites. These subsystems are the building blocks of complex satellites. Getting the right design of these sub-systems is a major driver of cost and schedule on every project. In this role, you will be specifying and documenting the assigned RF subsystems by interfacing with advanced systems and payload engineers, among other disciplines to develop the required performance. You will follow the hardware through the development, build, delivery and support spacecraft integration and test activities, acting as a technical expert supporting the subsystem. You will report progress and issues to your management team.
Responsibilities:
Acts as the technical engineer/project manager for a variety of RF subsystems, including TWTAs (Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier) or other assigned hardware.
Determine and document applicable specifications for each design, development and/or test.
Supports Troubleshooting during FRB (Failure Review Board) activities.
Contribute to major technical proposal efforts.
Provide technical analysis and recommendations.
Prepares and delivers briefings and issues reports on activities, analyses, experiments, and all work performed.
Introduce innovative and creative products in area of specialty.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field. A masters degree may be substituted for two years of experience.
8 years related working experience required. Four years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Thorough knowledge in a specific engineering or scientific field in RF technologies and engineering.
Provide functional guidance to personnel assigned to assist. Receives assignments with limited supervision.
Represents the company to customers and/or vendors in providing solutions for technical problems.
Experience working with multiple engineering disciplines.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
● The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $107,000.00 - $179,000.00 annually. ● The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $107,000.00 - $179,000.00 annually. ● The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $107,000.00 - $179,000.00 annually.
● The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $118,000.00 - $196,000.00 annually. ● The base pay for this position within California is: $123,000.00 - $205,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
