Senior Project Manager (Systems Implementation)

• Senior Project Manager for Systems Implementation
• Home-based with regular travel across the USA
• $120,000 to $150,000 per year

Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex roadside technology and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in ITS, traffic management systems, highways technology, tolling, smart motorways, traffic signal systems, transportation software, connected vehicle technologies or related roadside infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and planning through development, testing, deployment and support.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of complex systems - from requirements and design through to deployment and client handover.
• Manage large-scale, multi-site technology implementations and integrations.
• Build and optimise project delivery processes, tools and frameworks (e.g. PMIS, SOPs, reporting).
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, product, operations and external stakeholders.
• Act as the primary interface with clients, ensuring strong relationships and successful outcomes.
• Drive efficiency and scalability in deployment (reducing timelines, improving throughput).
• Oversee project performance including scope, budget, risk and quality.
• Support business growth through identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposals.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven track record delivering large-scale system or software implementations in the Intelligent Transportation or a similar industry sector.
• Strong background in stakeholder management, including working with technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience improving or building project management processes and frameworks.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Data-driven mindset with experience reporting on KPIs and delivery performance
• PMP (or equivalent) certification.
