The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for Gifted Healthcare's clinical workforce. This role plays a key part in ensuring an exceptional employee experience by providing outstanding customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process accurate and timely payroll for clinical employees
- Review, audit, and post employee timecards, verifying and reconciling payroll data and resolving discrepancies prior to processing
- Process payroll adjustments, corrections, reimbursements, and other approved pay changes
- Generate payroll reports and maintain required documentation
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Escalate complex or sensitive payroll issues as appropriate
- Ensure compliance with payroll policies, wage and hour laws, and established procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years of payroll processing experience
- Working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
