Position Summary

Job Title: Junior Customer Success Manager

Department: 270 – Customer Success

Reports To: Senior Customer Success Manager

Job Type: Full Time; Salary Exempt

Job Purpose: The Junior Customer Success Manager is a dynamic, relationship-driven role supporting our Customer Success team in delivering an exceptional experience to schools participating in our Book Blast program. This client-facing, support-focused position is ideal for someone who is organized, people-oriented, and eager to grow in a customer success or account management career.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Success & Relationship Assistance

-      Support Customer Success Managers by helping schools throughout their Book Blast journey, from onboarding to event completion.

-      Assist with follow-ups, scheduling, and routine client communications to ensure schools feel supported and informed.

-      Maintain accurate and detailed records of client accounts, communications, and outcomes.

-      Help gather client feedback, testimonials, and referrals to support program growth.

Administrative & Operational Support

-      Assist with coordination of events, materials, and schedules for Book Blast launches.

-      Support team members with presenting to schools, meeting preparation, and follow-ups.

-      Identify opportunities to streamline processes and help make customer experiences smoother.

Support & Process Improvement

-      Support communication campaigns to help drive engagement and participation.

-      Assist with light research or preparation for client meetings.

Event Management

-      Serve as the primary point of contact for schools during peak weeks and throughout the season as needed.

-      Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with school leaders through personalized outreach and proactive problem-solving.

-      Implement retention strategies based on Never Lose a Customer Again principles to maximize renewals and engagement.

-      5. Training & Development

-      Participate in ongoing training and coaching to deepen knowledge of customer success best practices, sales techniques, and program details.

Obtain Referrals, Testimonials, and/or References

-      Encourage and gather testimonials, referrals, and client advocacy to grow the Books Are Fun network.

-      Leverage client satisfaction to build a network of advocates for Books Are Fun.

 

Key Requirements:

-      Experience: Proven experience in customer service, administrative support, or entry-level account management.

-      Skills: Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

-      Personality: Fun! Customer-oriented with a passion for going above and beyond to meet client needs.

-      Attitude: Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic about helping others succeed.

-      Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

-      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-      Friendly, professional, and proactive attitude.

-      Comfortable supporting multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

-      Passion for books, education, and creating positive experiences for clients.

-      Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

 

Working Conditions:

-      This is a remote position.

 

Physical Requirements:

-      Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

-      Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.

Pay

This is a full-time/salaried role with a compensation range of $45,000-$50,000

This is a work from home position.
