SUMMARY: Everest Client seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States, making it ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a virtual environment. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the financial health of our clients organization. NOTE: This role is contract, NOT Direct Hire and expected to last for 3 to 4 months, beginning to end.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including AR/AP, GL entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission.
- Develop and maintain financial analysis and reporting activities, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Coordinate and facilitate the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by studying existing and new legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
- Develop accounting policies and procedures to enhance the overall financial process and internal controls.
- Collaborate with external auditors during periodic audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Mentor and guide a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's (or equivalent expeience) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
