Do you enjoy bringing structure, precision, and order to fast-paced design projects? Are you a meticulous, self-sufficient professional who takes pride in clean, error-free documentation and keeps every deliverable on track? We're looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support the Principal Designer of a boutique interior design studio based in New York.

This is a part-time remote opportunity, ideal for someone highly structured, detail-driven, and experienced in both project coordination and advanced technical drafting and 3D modeling for high-end residential interiors.

BetterPros unlocks human potential by offering competitive compensation, flexibility, constant learning and growth, and the opportunity to work anywhere you want with one of our +130 active clients across the United States.

What you'll do:

  • Structure, monitor, and update project timelines, task assignments, and key deliverables across all active projects.

  • Break down projects into clear milestones and track progress to keep every phase moving forward on schedule.

  • Review architectural and interior drawing sets and production work from the junior and onsite team.

  • Perform detailed redlining to ensure high accuracy and consistency before drawings reach final review.

  • Create precise 3D models in SketchUp and Rhino to support design development and client presentations.

  • Produce detailed interior drawing sets as needed, including plans, elevations, and cabinetry/millwork details.

  • Act as a detail-oriented "gatekeeper" to optimize day-to-day project flow and reduce review cycles for the Principal Designer.

  • Keep project tasks and timelines organized and up to date in Asana so the team always has a clear view of priorities.

What you must have:

  • Senior-level experience in interior design project management and technical drafting.

  • Experience working on residential (single-family) projects.

  • Proficiency in Rhino, SketchUp, and Asana.

  • Experience with V-Ray and Enscape for rendering and visualization(highly valued).

  • Strong grasp of interior design phases, project scheduling, and task breakdowns into milestones.

  • Proven experience reviewing and redlining drawing sets with a high standard for quality control.

  • Ability to produce detailed interior documentation, including millwork and cabinetry details.

  • Exceptional precision, strong aesthetic judgment, and a commitment to clean, error-free documentation.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to keep multiple projects structured and on schedule.

  • A direct, clear communication style.

  • High level of ownership and autonomy, with the ability to drive tasks forward with minimal hand-holding.

  • Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively within a part-time schedule.

  • A mindset focused on precision, execution, and continuous improvement of workflows.
