About Receptive

Receptive is a modern digital health platform making high-quality care more accessible. Across ADHD support, emotional support animal evaluations, and nutrition coaching, we connect more than 100,000 members across the country each year with licensed clinicians who deliver ethical, evidence-based care through trusted, ongoing relationships through our brands including Pettable, ADHD Advisor, and Top Nutrition Coaching. Grounded in clinical excellence and a people-first mission, we empower licensed providers with the autonomy, technology, and support needed to deliver accessible and personalized care. Join us in expanding access to care that is both clinically sound and deeply human.

About the Role

**Remote, part-time (~20 hours/week) freelance opportunity**

This is Receptive’s first social media role, giving the right person real ownership over how the brand shows up across our channels from the ground up. Reporting to the Senior SEO & Content Lead, the Social Media Manager will focus on organic social content for ADHD Advisor, which provides access to online ADHD assessments and treatment, connecting people with licensed clinicians for care that fits their time, goals, and lived experience. Occasionally, the Social Media Manager will support social channels for Receptive’s other brands.

This role blends strategy and hands-on execution, offering full ownership of ADHD Advisor's organic social presence from planning through execution. We need someone who's just as comfortable planning the content calendar as they are sitting down and editing the reel. This role will focus on:
  • Community & Growth Content (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook): consumer-facing content supporting user acquisition, brand awareness, and community/retention for existing patients.
  • Thought Leadership (LinkedIn): content built primarily from our clinician team's expertise, with occasional features from our CEO, positioning ADHD Advisor as a credible voice in the industry and a great place for clinicians and future hires to work.

What You'll Do

  • Own the content calendar and strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
  • Plan and produce content across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook — educational posts, myth-busting content, relatable/shareable content, patient story curation, testimonial graphics, and brand content
  • Edit short-form video in a native, platform-appropriate style. Because this role is fully remote, video work is primarily editing rather than filming (e.g., editing UGC and patient-submitted clips, voiceover-driven content, illustration-led or animated formats)
  • Curate and repost user-generated content and patient reviews, with appropriate permissions and review
  • Partner with our clinician team and CEO to source and produce LinkedIn thought-leadership content
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement, responding to comments and messages promptly and warmly across all channels
  • Keep an eye on competitor and industry trends, using findings to drive strategy and experimentation
  • Keep our profiles looking sharp: accurate bios, current pinned content, consistent branding
  • Run monthly performance reporting and use it to sharpen our approach

What We’re Looking For

This is the right role for you if you have personally executed social content and strategy before, whether as a solo social manager or a strong generalist marketer, and are ready to own a channel end to end with real autonomy. The right candidate can hit the ground running on reporting, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination with clinicians and leadership. Here are more details on what we’re looking for:
  • A genuine blend of creative and strategic skills — comfortable both making content and thinking about what content should exist and why
  • 2-5 years of experience managing a brand or personal account through both the creation and measurement sides
  • 2-5 years of experience collaborating with crossfunctional teams to uphold style guidelines (i.e. design, editorial, PR)
  • Comfort working within strict compliance guidelines for healthcare marketing (or another regulated industry, like finance or legal, if you don't have direct healthcare experience)
  • Strong time management; this is a broad role for 20 hours a week, so prioritization is key

Bonus Points for:
  • Mental Health industry experience
  • East Coast location

30-60-90 Day Expectations
  • First 30 days: Get up to speed on our brand, audience, and compliance guidelines. Audit and refresh our current social profiles (e.g. bios, branding, pinned content). Build out a content calendar and workflow, and get your first posts live.
  • At 60 days: Hit a steady publishing cadence across all four platforms. Establish a community engagement rhythm and response times. Deliver your first month of performance reporting.
  • At 90 days: Have a clear, data-informed point of view on what's working and what should change (i.e. content mix, formats, cadence) and start iterating based on it.

What Success Looks Like
  • Growing, engaged audiences across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
  • Growing user base, measured by increase in link clicks from bio/posts to the site, leads attributed to social referral traffic, and a directional lift in branded search or direct traffic during periods of increased posting
  • Consistent, reliable posting cadence
  • Content across all platforms reflects a consistent voice, tone, and visual identity that is quickly recognizable as ADHD Advisor
  • Minimal editorial or brand corrections needed after the initial onboarding period, reflecting strong internalization of our brand and editorial guidelines
  • Fast, warm community response times
  • Steady LinkedIn thought-leadership cadence
  • A social presence that feels current and credible within your first few months
  • Recurring themes, questions, or friction points from community interactions are surfaced to the marketing and product teams on a regular cadence

Where You’ll Work & What You’ll Receive

  • Part-time (~20 hours/week) that is 100% remote (1099 basis).
  • Although this role offers a flexible schedule, availability Monday-Friday during typical business hours for occasional meetings is required.
  • Competitive hourly pay, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunity to work with a growing brand rooted in a people-first mission.
  • Ability to own, shape, and implement the Company's social media content strategy.
