Position Summary: 

The Senior Recruiter serves as a strategic talent acquisition partner responsible for attracting, assessing, and hiring top talent to support organizational growth. This role collaborates closely with hiring managers and business leaders to develop workforce planning strategies, improve recruiting processes, analyze hiring metrics, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience while ensuring compliance with employment regulations. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.  
  • Conduct thorough candidate assessments, including resume screening, phone interviews, and in-person interviews, to evaluate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.  
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing timely communication, feedback, and support.  
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, addressing inquiries, coordinating interviews, and guiding them through the hiring process.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job postings, and confirm candidate requirements.  
  • Provide guidance and support to hiring managers on recruitment best practices, including interview techniques, candidate evaluation, and offer negotiation.  
  • Lead recruitment efforts for exempt, professional, technical, and leadership-level positions.
  • Develop proactive talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, source effectiveness, and offer acceptance rates.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase recruiting effectiveness and candidate experience.
  • Promote the company's employer brand and value proposition to attract top talent and enhance the organization's reputation as an employer of choice.  
  • Maintain accurate and complete applicant and job records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws throughout the hiring process. \
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive intelligence to inform recruitment strategies and practices.  
  • Participate in the development and implementation of recruitment-related policies, procedures, and initiatives. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.  

 

Work Schedule

  • As discussed with supervisor.
  • Weekend and after standard business hours as required.

 

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field and 5-7 years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience, including professional, technical, and leadership-level hiring; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and business leaders on talent acquisition strategies. 
  • Proven experience as a recruiter, with a focus on full-cycle recruitment and sourcing strategies.   
  • Strong understanding of recruiting best practices, including candidate assessment, interview techniques, and employment laws.   
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and collaborate effectively with hiring managers.   
  • Experience in recruiting for a variety of positions across different industries or sectors such as IT, healthcare, DoD, and/or with federal contractors.  
  • Ability to interpret recruiting data and generate actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Project management and organizational skills.   
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Teams) 
  • Applicant Tracking Systems 
  • LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other sourcing platforms
  • Recruiting analytics and reporting tools
  • AI-assisted sourcing tools 

 

Preferred Skills and Certificates 

  • Experience implementing recruiting process improvements.
  • Experience using recruitment analytics and workforce planning tools.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, AIRS, or Talent Acquisition certifications.
  • Experience with diversity sourcing and inclusive hiring initiatives. 

 

Compensation

  • Salaried (exempt)
  • $70,000-$90,000 annualized
