JOB SUMMARY
 
Position Summary
The Project Manager will partner closely with a technical lead and an Everbridge subject-matter expert supporting day-to-day platform configuration.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
  • Lead the Everbridge BCIC implementation across the full project lifecycle, from planning and requirements through deployment, testing, user adoption, and operational transition.
  • Manage multiple related projects or workstreams and coordinate dependencies across business and Digital Technology teams.
  • Define, manage, and control project scope, schedule, budget, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, dependencies, resources, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and governance artifacts required by the organization's PMLP methodology.
  • Prepare the project for formal governance reviews and quality gates, track approvals, and ensure required processes are followed.
  • Identify delivery risks early and develop practical mitigation and recovery plans when scope, schedule, budget, resources, or dependencies are at risk.
 
BCIC Implementation Leadership
  • Translate business continuity and emergency management objectives into a structured implementation roadmap and executable delivery plan.
  • Coordinate implementation activities across Everbridge BCIC capabilities, including:
    • Business Impact Assessments
    • Business continuity and disaster recovery plans
    • Workflow design and automation
    • Dependency mapping
    • Reporting and dashboards
    • System and data integrations
    • Testing
    • User adoption
  • Work closely with the technical lead, Everbridge SME, Emergency Management stakeholders, architects, business analysts, developers, quality-control teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Ensure functional requirements, technical dependencies, integration needs, test readiness, training, communications, and adoption activities are addressed.
  • Establish clear accountability for decisions, action items, deliverables, approvals, dependencies, and cross-functional handoffs.
 
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Develop, maintain, and submit detailed project financial forecasts covering labor, vendor spend, hardware, software, and other project-related costs.
  • Manage actual expenditures, commitments, invoices, accruals, forecast updates, and budget variances throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain monthly financial forecast accuracy within approximately ±5% and properly document project accruals.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly status reports, dashboards, executive summaries, financial updates, risk reports, and escalations.
  • Meet project and program reporting requirements for Digital Technology leadership, Enterprise PMO, and Finance.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • PMP certification.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT project-management experience, including leadership of complex system-development or enterprise-application implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a formal system-development and project-governance methodology involving required documentation, stage/quality gates, executive reporting, and delivery controls.
  • Strong knowledge of business continuity frameworks and the ability to lead business and technical teams through continuity-focused requirements and implementation activities.
  • Familiarity with Everbridge BCIC and its use within business-continuity and emergency-management programs.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, third-party vendors, competing priorities, and multiple workstreams while delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Strong project financial-management experience, including forecasting, variance management, accruals, vendor costs, and executive-level financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project/Project Enterprise.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, stakeholder-management, and executive-communication skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive direct experience leading an Everbridge BCIC implementation, deployment, or major transformation.
  • Experience implementing Business Impact Assessments, business continuity plans, disaster recovery plans, workflows, dependency mapping, reporting, system integrations, testing, and organizational adoption.
  • Experience supporting emergency-management, safety, security, or other high-availability operational stakeholders.
  • Experience restarting or stabilizing an early-stage implementation following a transition in project leadership.
  • Experience working within a large, matrixed, regulated, transportation, infrastructure, or public-sector environment.
