The Recruiting Coordinator (Groomer Recruiting) plays a critical role in keeping our groomer hiring engine running at speed. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our recruiting team to coordinate high-volume interviews, manage candidate communications, and keep candidates moving smoothly through every stage of the process.
You’ll take ownership of key moments in the hiring journey, especially Pawditions, our hands-on grooming assessments, where preparation, coordination, and candidate experience matter most. You’ll also help generate and maintain strong candidate pipelines across priority markets, bringing structure, urgency, and care to a fast-moving, ever-changing hiring environment.
Partner with Recruiters to support high-volume groomer hiring across multiple markets.
Coordinate interviews across phone, video, and in-person stages, including complex pawdition scheduling.
Manage candidate communications, confirmations, and follow-ups to keep pipelines moving efficiently.
Support offer and pre-hire steps, including background checks and onboarding handoffs.
Own the coordination and execution of Pawditions, ensuring candidates, groomers, and field teams are fully prepared.
Schedule Pawditions and confirm logistics, expectations, and requirements with all parties.
Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates during the Pawdition stage.
Track outcomes, collect feedback, and drive timely hiring decisions.
Continuously improve the pawdition process to ensure fairness, consistency, and a strong candidate experience.
Deliver clear, timely, and thoughtful communication throughout the hiring process.
Represent our brand and values in every candidate interaction, especially during in-person evaluations.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that could delay hiring or negatively impact candidate experience.
Ensure candidates are prepared for each stage by setting clear expectations and gathering required materials (e.g., portfolios) in advance.
Proactively source groomer candidates through job boards, outbound outreach, and local market strategies.
Build and maintain active candidate pipelines across priority markets.
Partner with recruiters to align sourcing efforts with hiring needs.
Conduct outreach, follow-ups, and re-engagement of past applicants and passive candidates to drive pipeline volume and reduce drop-off.
Partner with hiring managers to support boots-on-the-ground recruiting efforts in key markets (e.g., flyers, community outreach, grooming expos).
Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in the ATS, ensuring strong data hygiene across all stages.
Support job postings, requisition setup, and pipeline tracking for groomer roles.
Track recruiting activity and outcomes, including pawdition volume and pass-through rates.
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve recruiting operations as hiring scales.
Monitor pipeline health and flag delays, bottlenecks, or gaps across markets.
1+ year of experience in recruiting coordination, HR coordination, or a similar operational role supporting hiring.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where priorities shift constantly and strong coordination and adaptability are critical to maintaining momentum.
Comfort operating with urgency and ambiguity, including handling last-minute changes and evolving needs throughout the day.
A high bias for action and follow-through; when something comes your way, you take it on, figure it out, and get it done.
Exceptional organizational strength – able to manage multiple requisitions, recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates simultaneously without dropping details.
Working familiarity with ATS platforms, scheduling tools, and Google Workspace, with strong attention to data accuracy and follow-through.
A service-oriented mindset with genuine care for delivering a thoughtful candidate experience at every stage.
Ability to work in an hourly role with occasional schedule flexibility, particularly to support in-person Pawditions.
Exposure to sourcing, outreach, or pipeline generation is a plus, but not required.
$25 - 30/hr based on experience
