Position Overview:

Directs cross-functional teams responsible for driving affiliate/regional/operating unit or system initiatives, strategies, issue resolutions and alignment across Sutter Health. Maintains working knowledge of telehealth policy and regulation to guide virtual health programs and projects. Plans, organizes, monitors, and oversees three or more concurrent projects which are moderately complex, with a considerable size, scope and budget. Responsible for project work plan development, establishment of project communication and risk management plans, workflow process redesign, metric development and measurement. This position assigns project tasks to designated team members and/or Project Coordinator(s). Identifies and escalate issues to project sponsors/owners. Collaborates with leaders and sponsors, operations, medical groups, service lines, informatics, and digital teams. Uses project management tools and standards as outlined by the Project Management Institute to ensure projects stay on track to complete deliverables and project integration with other initiatives.

• Healthcare Systems: Strong grasp of clinical operations, care delivery models, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS).
• Virtual Care: Knowledge of virtual care models, policy and regulation, and technology.
• Preferred- Additional certifications in digital health, telemedicine, or healthcare leadership (e.g., CPHIMS, FACHE, CMPE, Telehealth Certification Institute credentials)

Job Description:

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's: Degree in business administration, health care administration, public health administration, or other related field or equivalent education/experience



CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

  • PMP-Project Management Professional within 1 Year of hire



TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Working knowledge of project management processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, issues management, time management, financial management, quality management, monitoring and reporting, documentation and record keeping.
  • A business background sufficient to understand the operations and technical issues involved with the project and industry, to be able to anticipate and identify obstacles, and make accurate decisions and recommendations.
  • Interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of experience; competence in clear, concise and tactful communication with management, vendors, peers and staff.
  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings.
  • Knowledge of principles of Lean management systems.
  • Ability to gain cooperation and support through effective use of influence and persuasion required.
  • Conceptual, analytical and negotiation skills are necessary, along with skills in solving moderately-complex problems and developing actionable recommendations.

Pay Range is $45.60 to $68.40 / hour. Sacramento Valley Area Pay Range is $45.60 to $68.40 / hour. San Francisco Bay Area Pay Range is $52.44 to $78.66 / hour.

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
