The City of Saint Paul is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced payroll professional to join our team as a Payroll Specialist. This is an opportunity for a qualified candidate to step into a key role ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll for the City. The successful candidate will independently manage payroll transactions, audit and reconcile data, maintain employee records, and use enterprise systems to complete the full payroll cycle. Here’s what you can expect to do:
An Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, office management, public administration or equivalent education. Must have two years of experience as specified above in addition to the degree.

Final Selection Process: Those who pass will be placed on an eligible list for approximately six months and all will be notified of their status. A Hiring Manager will consider those applicants eligible for hire.
