About the Role:
Care Essentials Home Health is looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Coordinator to join our growing team in San Bernardino, AL. In this vital role, you'll help ensure our dedicated healthcare staff are paid accurately and on time — keeping our team motivated and our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on schedule
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and status changes
- Verify timesheets, hours worked, and attendance data prior to payroll processing
- Calculate and process overtime, bonuses, deductions, and garnishments
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and finance teams
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate benefits deductions and onboarding data
Requirements:
- 2+ years of payroll processing or payroll coordination experience
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms preferred)
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and wage compliance regulations
- Experience in healthcare or home health industry is a plus
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office software
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Compensation: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
