Federal Payroll/HR IT Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Federal Payroll/HR IT Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support a federal payroll and human resources information technology environment. The selected candidates will provide expertise in federal payroll operations, HR data management, systems integration, reporting, and application support while working closely with federal stakeholders, including payroll and HR organizations.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting Federal Payroll and HR systems.
• Strong knowledge of Federal Payroll Data and Federal HR Data.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Federal HR/Payroll systems.
• Experience supporting System Security Plans (SSP) or related federal compliance activities within the last few years.
• Understanding of federal payroll regulations, processes, and reporting requirements.
• Experience working within SDLC and Agile development environments.
• Ability to support transition, onboarding, and phase-in activities with minimal ramp-up time.
Preferred Qualifications
• Direct interface and collaboration experience with:
o Office of Personnel Management (OPM)
o Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
• Prior experience supporting federal payroll modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Support federal payroll and HR information systems operations.
• Analyze, validate, and maintain payroll and HR data.
• Develop and support integrations, reports, and data interfaces.
• Participate in system enhancements, testing, and deployments.
• Support SSP documentation and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with federal stakeholders, including OPM and IRS interfaces where applicable.
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide operational support.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, requirements analysis, and solution design.
Required Availability
• Able to begin work immediately.
• Available to support onboarding and transition activities.
• Capable of maintaining operational continuity during project phase-in.
