Cybersecurity Specialist – gTECHserv

gTECHserv is looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Specialist to help protect client environments from evolving cyber threats. You will work with our IT team to monitor security systems, identify vulnerabilities, strengthen defenses, and support businesses with proactive cybersecurity solutions.

Main Tasks

• Monitor client networks, endpoints, and security systems for potential threats.
• Investigate security alerts and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
• Configure and maintain endpoint protection and security tools.
• Assist with firewall, email, identity, and access security.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend improvements.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Azure security configurations.
• Help implement multi-factor authentication and access controls.
• Maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Educate clients about cybersecurity best practices.
• Stay informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Technology Stack

Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Intune, firewalls, endpoint security, MFA, VPN, vulnerability management, backup and disaster recovery, RMM/PSA platforms, network monitoring, and cybersecurity tools.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity or IT support.
• Understanding of network security, endpoint protection, and access management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure security.
• Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, MFA, and security monitoring.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to investigate issues and clearly document findings.
• CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, or other cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
