Position Snapshot

The Construction Project Manager - Wind will ensure Zelestra’s utility scale renewable energy projects (specifically onshore wind) are constructed safely, on time, at budget, and to the quality required.   Effectively manage and collaboratively work across the Zelestra team, contractors, utilities, and equipment providers to drive construction projects to successful completion.  

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with common majors including Business Administration, Project Management, or Engineering preferably.  
  • Professional with more than 5 years of experience in managing the construction of onshore wind farms in the U.S. with EPC and OEM scope splits
  • In-depth understanding of renewable energy onshore wind construction, WTG delivery, installation and commissioning. 
  • Knowledge of ERCOT Part I, II, III Checklist 

Position Responsibility

  • Manage utility-scale renewable energy construction projects, with a focus on onshore wind, from execution through COD.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  • Oversee project budgets, contingencies, change orders, and CAPEX performance.
  • Coordinate EPC contractors, WTG OEMs, consultants, utilities, and internal teams to support turbine delivery, installation, commissioning, and project energization.
  • Lead project execution planning, including schedule management, resource planning, and weather-delay contingency plans.
  • Identify and manage project risks, obstacles, cost impacts, and schedule deviations.
  • Monitor scope, schedule, and cost performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage contractor and stakeholder relationships to support effective project delivery.
  • Document project activities, issues, costs, and outcomes.
  • Participate in contract negotiations with emphasis on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Support constructability reviews for greenfield development and M&A opportunities.
  • Stay current on industry best practices, technologies, and emerging standards.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $150,000 -$180,000 annually.  Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors, such as the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
