Our client, a Communications company, is looking for a Construction Project Coordinator I for their Remote location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The Custom Networks Program Utility Coordinator is a critical strategic role responsible for driving utility readiness across network infrastructure deployments, ensuring power, permitting, financial obligations, and utility dependencies are aligned with customer commitments and construction schedules.
  • This position serves as the central point of coordination between utility providers, engineering teams, construction partners, permitting agencies, finance organizations, and external stakeholders to proactively manage utility requirements from project conception through construction readiness.
  • The role is accountable for developing and executing utility strategies that support large-scale network expansion programs, including utility upgrades, new service requests, power infrastructure installations, utility payment administration, and associated permitting activities.
  • Through early engagement and due diligence, the Utility Coordinator identifies potential risks, validates utility timelines and costs, manages utility funding requirements, and ensures projects enter construction with accurate plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Working closely with National Engineering, Construction Operations, Finance, and external utility providers, the Utility Coordinator provides forecasted delivery timelines, develops mitigation plans for utility-related constraints, coordinates utility payments and financial commitments, and drives accountability across all stakeholders.
  • The position also partners with government relations representatives, municipalities, and industry advocates to help accelerate approvals and resolve critical utility delays that could impact customer need-by dates.
  • Success in this role is measured by utility readiness, schedule predictability, cost management, timely utility payments, risk mitigation, and the ability to remove barriers that could impact network deployment objectives.
  • The Utility Coordinator plays a key role in enabling on-time project delivery by ensuring utility infrastructure is planned, approved, funded, and available to support construction and customer commitments across the Custom Networks portfolio.
